Wow, it's been a long time since we've had any updates here! Well, the problem has been that there just haven't been many updates to report on. Finally there is some new and exciting news! Jaycie Phelps has indeed decieded to train for the Sydney Olympics! She is training in Arizona at the gym she was coaching at. You can find additional details at her Official Site. Other than that there isn't much to report on. The Message Floor has had a lot of activity lately, you may want to check that out and jump in any gymnastics discussion. Additionally, the Message Floor has been pruned. Lastly, the final custom AVI (featuring Kerri Strug) is almost complete and will be released for the New Year! Once it has been released it will be included on any future orders of The Ultimate AVI CD.

Dominique Moceanu underwent surgery last Wednesday to treat a malformation on her right knee. This wasn't caused by gymnastics and she still has a good chance of rehabilitating the knee in time to qualify for the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Austraila. To read the ful AP article check out Fox Sports. We are back from vacation and still accepting orders for The Ultimate AVI CD, and orders are once again being processed and fulfilled promptly.

July 1

The AVI Directory has been updated. You may have noticed for a couple of weeks that the AVIs were not working. What happened is that the files were transfered from one server to another. The transfer is complete and the files are once again available for download. Additional AVIs will be uploaded soon. Note that we are still accepting orders for The Ultimate AVI CD, but orders will not be confirmed nor shipped until the month of August. I thank you for your understanding.

June 14

Well, there hasn't really been much of anything to report on the Magnificent 7 recently, that is why this page hasn't been updated in months. This update is to inform you of a vacation that I will be taking this summer. I will be leaving on Friday the 18th and will be gone for six weeks until around the 1st of August. Consequently, updates on the site will be minimal (I will have a laptop to work on the site a little). Also, I will still be accepting orders for The Ultimate AVI CD, but orders will not be confirmed nor shipped for 6-8 weeks. I thank you for your understanding.

March 31

The AVI Directory is now back Online! Thanks go to Scott Bregman of Scott's Gymnastics Page for hosting my videos on his server. While not all the videos are online yet, most will be added soon. Of course you can get all the videos plus more that aren't available for download by ordering The Ultimate AVI CD.

Both Shannon Miller and Amy Chow have recently expressed interest in coming back to competitive gymnastics with the possibility of going for the Olympics in 2000. That gives Miller and Chow 1 and a half years of training. Miller has not trained in six months. Chow has maintained light, regular workouts and has participated in pro meets, but does not plan to practice full time until school lets out in June. The only other member of the Magnificent 7 who has currently expressed interest in the 2000 Olympics is Dominique Moceanu who is now training at the USOC Developmental Center in Colorado.

www.MAG7.net has been updated with some new information. The new Trouble in Paradise page contains an archieve of all What's Hot updates regarding the status of Dominique Moceanu's legal battle. The FAQ has been updated with some new information, along with a new TV Schedule for upcoming broadcasts of gymnastics. Other small aspects of the page has been updated as well. The Message Floor has been pruned. Most of the messages found on the Message Floor have been archieved, this will also help speed up access.

In gymnastics news, Dominique Moceanu, returned to gymnastics for the first time since the 1998 John Hancock U.S. Gymnastics Championships when she made a public appearance at the 1999 Reese's Gymnastics Cup. The women's competition featured the closest competition of the evening, as two teams posted final scores of 39.40. The All-American A's duo of Amanda Borden and Amy Chow edged out the Reese's Butter Cups team of Jaycie Phelps and Vanessa Atler with their first-round score of 19.70, which was the tie-breaking criterium. Shannon Miller's wedding is set for June 12th.

The Saga Continues...

Dominique Moceanu has taken another mature step in her gymnastics development and has decided to leave her family matters behind and concentrate on her gymnastics career. Since the restraining order against her father, Dimitru, went into effect, Moceanu has decided that she must get back into the gym. Obviously not training at Moceanu Gymnastics anymore, Moceanu and Miscenco have gone to Florida, to Brown's Gymnastics, to train. Brown's is the home of Brandy Johnson, Wendy Bruce, and temporarily, Kerri Strug. Hopefully, Moceanu will regain her form from the Goodwill Games, where she won All-Around gold, and Miscenco will help her in the process. Rumor has it that the pair have since traded in Brown's for another club, but this remains unconfirmed.

You can find an archieve with all What's Hot updates in Trouble in Paradise.

www.MAG7.net will keep you up to date regarding this situation.

Discuss the developments of the Moceanu lawsuit on the Message Floor!
